Tattoo Aftercare
Instructions
The following verbal and/or written instructions were communicated to the client:

If you have Saniderm (Adhesive Medical Bandage) on your tattoo. You can take it off after a minimum of 8 hours, but it can last up to 2-3 days. Remove the saniderm, if ink or sweat bubbles build up. After the saniderm is removed proceed to follow step 2.

Wash the tattoo at least 3 times a day with Antibacterial Soap for about 2 weeks. After every wash you may apply a small amount of A&D Ointment or Aquaphor to the tattoo to keep it moisturized.

The following are restrictions for the Body Art procedure(s). No bathing, showers are recommended. Avoid the direct sunlight. No swimming that includes beaches & pools. Avoid dust, dirt, & sweat if possible. Avoid being with pets/animals. For about 2 - 4 weeks.

Signs & Symptoms of infection include, but limited to redness, swelling, tenderness on the procedure area, red streaks going from the procedure area towards the heart, elevated body temperatures, or purulent drainage from the procedure area.

If physician care is required by the client related to the Body Art procedure(s), the client is to notify the Body Art facility & the practitioner of the problem and the resolution by a physician or clinic. This information shall be placed in the client's file.
